Description

Discover the various landscapes and the remarkable heritage along the river : vineyard, monuments, lakes,...From the natural Rhone River to the man-made canal built in 1982. you will discover different atmospheres along the way. Starts from Yenne.
This loop circuit brings the natural bed of the Rhône face to face with the canal built in 1982. It passes through the communes of La Balme, Yenne, Lucey, Massignieu-de-Rives and Belley. The circuit takes in some sections of the Viarhôna, an 815 km cycle route from Lake Geneva to the beaches of the Mediterranean. Just off the Viarhôna cycle route, stop off at the Tuilerie Fontaine, carefully restored in 2009. This building bears witness to a simple yet powerful craft that came to an end with the industrial revolution. For a description of the unmarked route, download the document or pick it up at the Yenne Tourist Office. A captioned map is provided to help you find your way around. You can then explore the region at your own pace, planning a picnic or a stopover in one of the restaurants along the way. The duration of the tour can vary from 1h30 to 2h30.
