The itinerary brings you quickly to the St-Paul-sur-Yenne plateau. Following a hilly route, you will be able to see several châteaux and fortified houses, including the birthplace of French actor, Charles Dullin.
From the Maison de la Dent du Chat, take the Chemin des Fossés which starts at the statue of St-Joseph. You cross the outskirts of Yenne, passing the stadium and then the former Capuchin convent. A short climb along the path soon takes you up to Commugnin, with its fine views over Yenne. The route soon takes you to the plateau of St-Paul-sur-Yenne. The climb is mainly on small tarmac roads. At the top of the plateau, the undulating route takes you along less technical paths to the foot of the Dent du Chat. At the "Les Tréchauds" sign, turn right in the direction of St-Paul. The landscape is dotted with castles and fortified houses. After the village of St-Paul, the route takes on a downhill profile before the "grimpette" preceding the former residence of Charles Dullin at Le Châtelard (famous theatre-maker). The route continues with a steady descent to the hamlet of Ameysin at the foot of the hill. From the bridge over the Flon, loop back to Yenne along a wide path that briefly skirts the river.
